Shine on.
sequins, satin and sparkly sh't
Annoyingly we only dress festive in December for the different functions we are invited to. Our only chance to dress with reckless joy, oozing shine and happiness. Whether it’s a sliver of sequins or an overwhelmingly dramatic top, festive dressing is really what you want it to be. There are no rules. Guidelines for what’s appropriate in certain situations, yes (no one wants to be a future meme). Other than that, find your shine, your sparkle. Personally, I love it all: sequins, silk, shiny lamé, whatever the season.
Love how the intricate, jewelry box of a top is in sharp contrast to the slouchy denim and vintage wash.
Denim , sheer tie-neck blouse, velvet blazer, floral bag, booties
Same denim but different vibe. I can’t express enough how much I love layering micro thin pieces underneath everything.
denim (see above), shoes, layering top, dress (always check The Real Real for pieces because I found this exact one with tags for less than 100.
My personal favorite. Sweater, skirt, shoes, tights
Mixing everyday pieces with twinkly sweater is festive enough for a work event.
sweater, shorts, tall boots, beaded bag
How does a cool girl dress comfortably for the holidays? Like this: top, satin cargos, shoes (worn with a sheer sock) , beaded pearl bag.
Although pieces that seem holiday only really should be worn all year. That metallic dress works later on as a vacation moment with Havianas. Your sequin skirt should be worn whenever you feel like it, maybe with a concert tee and Sambas later on. That special beaded bag looks cool with a sundress and your tan.
I vote for party wear all year.

I love the idea of greater glitz post holiday — I’m in a writer rut and this feels like just the fashion lifeline I need to pull me out.
I'm obsessed ✨
